Simply called The Great Wave,  this painting presents the ocean as a grand yet terrifying force of nature, rising high up in the air with sharp spikes of water at its peak. The immense size of the wave is also emphasized as we see a tiny Mt. Fuji completely framed by the giant wave, which looks like it is going to crash directly onto the mountain and completely drown it.
